The term \"local content\" refers to policies and practices intended to encourage or require extractive companies, such as mining, oil and gas companies, to promote the use of local resources, labor and local work, local suppliers and other players in the local economy in their operations.<\/span><\/p>\n

    Development of a strategy for the creation of local content in the extractive industry sector<\/h2>

    The mission was to develop a local content strategy to support current and future activities in the oil, gas and mining sectors, on behalf of the Ministry of SMEs. From this perspective, analyzing the existing situation in these sectors was a key step to understanding the opportunities and challenges. Next, the mission involved the development of a strategy to increase local content in the oil, gas, and mining sector, which includes the definition of objectives, actions, and concrete measures. In addition, a Specification has been prepared for the design of a portal monitoring system, making it possible to monitor and evaluate the implementation of the local content strategy.<\/div>\n

    Assistance to the Guinea Subcontracting Exchange<\/h2>

    The main objective of this mission was to support the operationalization of the BSTP by developing a strategic plan for the period 2019-2021, including objectives, actions, and the definition of the roles of the BSTP and its partners. This involved organizing a strategic planning workshop with board members, creating a detailed organizational chart of the organization, and developing a standards and procedures manual covering various aspects of the organization.
