    The mission aimed to support the College of representatives of civil society within the Steering Committee of the EITI (Extractive Industries Transparency Initiative) in Guinea in the implementation of the corruption diagnostic tool developed by NRGI, using an evidence-based, multi-stakeholder approach to combating corruption in the Guinean mining sector. This initiative specifically aimed to identify the most worrying forms of corruption in the Bauxite sector in Guinea, to diagnose the underlying causes of corruption, and to develop an evidence-based intervention plan to prevent corruption practices. future corruption.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

    Guide on the Fight against Money Laundering and Financing of Terrorism (AML\/CFT) in the mining sector<\/h2>

    The mission aimed to strengthen the fight against money laundering and the financing of terrorism (AML\/CFT) in the Ivorian mining sector by developing guidelines and a guide to good practices. It began with a documentary review of national legal requirements and international standards related to AML\/CFT in the mining sector, followed by the finalization of a risk assessment report. Then, a draft guide was developed to serve as a repository of internal controls, policies\/procedures and supervision according to extractive sector standards. The guide was then presented to stakeholders through validation and training workshops. Finally, recommendations for next steps were made to support the dissemination and use of the guide, as well as the strengthening of AML\/CFT in the Ivorian mining sector, thus contributing to better governance and transparency in this key economic sector. .<\/div>\n
